Research and Documentation
There arose a perception within a few years
of the birth of the Kinkini the documentation is an
integral part of the organization.
Kinkini conducts cultural surveys of folk and tribal
belts to identify and locate folk art forms and also
artistes and artisans. Audio-visual documentation of
the various folk forms is done regularly and the Institute
now has a fine archive and a resource center. So far,
this organization has brought research on various folk
and classical art subjects.
The organization is also in the process of establishing
a culture data bank to cater to the growing needs of
researchers and scholars.
- “Ninaad” Research
on folk and tribal musical instruments of Rajasthan.
Under the research project of Ministry of Culture,
Govt. of India.
- Documentation and Research Project of dances of
Bhil, Kanjar, Kamad Dhobi, Meena, Girasia, Banjara
Sadhu and Bhopa tribes of Rajasthan.
- ‘Kathiko” A Research
project of Kathak Dance (Study of Kathak community,
Rajasthani paintings, sculptures representing Kathak
‘Mudras’ origin, development, historical
and social perspective, of Jaipur Gharana and other
aspects of Kathak.)
