Prasang {A multimedia production based on different aspects of Kathak dance}

The multimedia production, “Prasang” based on the different aspects of Kathak the best known Kathak composition, weaves in parallel traditional dance from which are presented against a backdrop of images recreating Kathak’s physical environment and tracing its spiritual quest. Images of traditional Kathak will gradually transform into contemporary interpretations, as the “prasang” of Anita Ordia, dance to slides of Kathak. Through a six-part performance, changing moods, colours and hues.

This production is an exquisite adventure into the music, the lyrics, the melody, the improvisations, the note arrangements passed down from older generations that hint at secrets from the beginning of the time, different from anything ever experienced. Lyrics from regional language touch of regional music, dance movements to be finding in the artistic mosaic.
The solo-rendering dance will support group, music along with a background of audio-visual (slide Presentation) recreating Kathak dance- mystical journey.
