Rural communications
Sanskriti
(Culture) and Chetna (Awareness) these are the grass
root level cultural programmes organised by Kinkini
at different villages.
The objective behind this programme is to make people
aware about the diversity of cultural heritage and enthuse
cultural coordination and interaction among the participants
and the local people. Apart from the organizing a chain
of cultural programmes in remote rural areas the organization
also dedicated and working towards preservation, promotion
and propagation of tribal and folk art forms.
The Institute conducts courses in rural communications,
produces software for the use of developmental communication
and extension education. It also conducts campaigns
to promote conservation of the environment in rural
areas and to give various messages to people through
puppets, folk dances and songs. In continuation of its
project to train local itinerant tribal performers in
performing shows that deal with social issues. Kinkini
now launches a unique project schools to make the children
information bearers on issues of HIV, education and
hygiene.
