Workshops
SADHANA is the Annual Intensive Training Gurukul workshops
organized by Kinkini every summer to inculcate interest
in the rich cultural heritage of India, particularly
amongst the young. Besides the regular training, Kinkini
has been organizing various Workshops every year named
SADHNA. Eminent directors and Gurus are invited to conduct
the workshops.

The workshops offer a multi dimensional training for
the seekers. The duration of these workshops is 15 days.
Starting with general training on YOGA, KATHAK DANCE,
FOLK DANCE, MUSIC, INSTRUMENT, DRAMA AND PUPPETRY etc.
is given. The schedule also includes sessions of audio-
visual presentations like films and video recording
about artists and their creations, Group discussion,
Group activities, and demonstrations by the contributing
Gurus.
Kathak
Aamad (Introductory Workshop)
Introductory workshops are conducted to give an elementary
knowledge about the art form to be learnt. Duration
of the workshop is 15 days. This workshop is open to
all art aspirants without any training background.
Paripakva (Workshops for senior students)
Paripakva is a workshop for senior students. The workshop
is designed to get a feedback from students previously
trained.
Uplabdhi (Production Oriented Workshop)
Uplabdhi is the production-oriented workshop series
of Kinkini in which senior Gurus and great masters are
invited for a period of 10-15 days. The guru stays with
all the students in the gurukul premises and trains
them on a production-oriented theme. The highlights
of the workshop are the informal discussion sessions
with the gurus about their chosen art form and a performance
by the maestro and participants.

Folk
Dance
Pinhari ( Rajasthani folk dance workshop)
Rajasthan has a wealth of folk culture which is alive
in its many villages and towns. The workshop will introduce
them to the festival or occasion when the dance is done,
its religious or social relevance, the meaning of the
clothes worn and associated information on other aspects
like food, fasting or rituals. Students will be given
practical dance training

Puppet theatre
Kathputli ( Puppet workshop)
India has a long tradition of string, glove and rod
puppets. The course will teach students the art of making
puppets of Rajasthan. An exploration of rod, glove and
string puppets may also be done.
